I’m Joshua, a lead product designer from Vermont.
I am currently leading the design team at RxVantage to build really simple experiences across multiple platforms. We’re working on making a simple, unified, and scalable designs for health care providers, life science experts, and doctors office support staff. In the past, reps called into doctors offices at all hours of the day, taking up valuable office time. Offices now have the control in their hands to decide what times of the day during the week they can visit. If a rep calls the office, they point them to the RxVantage platform to request appointments.
We’re rapidly growing from a start-up to a medium sized organization which has been an exciting learning experience. In the last two years I’ve stood up the design team to four design leaders driving experiential changes throughout the product. We’ve enhanced the base product and created visual consistency throughout our platforms with an entirely custom design system. As we continue to mature I am pushing us to try rapid prototyping, experimentation, user testing, and data analysis to enhance our product.
Before RxVantage, I led experience design at DMI in Washington, DC. I worked closely with clients to understand business needs and challenged them to think about their customers. I mentored other designers while providing creative new ways to shop online, navigate theme parks, and grow the design business.
I grew up in a family of Eastern European immigrants and my ability to empathize with different audiences comes from that. I had to find ways to teach non-English speaking older relatives how to use modern technology. Those challenges help me understand that design needs to speak for itself, be obvious, and based on everyday things.
