The Challenge:

Create a design system that improves design efficiency to be used by the entire UX team.

Research & Documentation:

Reviewed team Sketch files. Interviewed visual design team and offshore teams to understand needs with file handoff. Researched best practices for design systems. Documented existing process for design files.

Templates:

Created Sketch file templates to be reused on iOS, Android, mobile, tablet, and website design projects.

Results:

Established a design system methodology adopted by entire UX team. Reduced time needed for updates and changes from 5 days to 2 days. Improved efficiency of handoff between UX team and visual design and offshore teams.
